An unforgettable holiday at Karina' s. We were so welcome by her family and shared nice activities , everyday life and interesting sightseeing around Oxford. It was a relaxing time and we felt like at home, since our arrival. Our immersion in the English landscape and language also proved amazing !

Meeting Karina and hosting her was such a nice experience! We have got on well, my whole family, since her arrival and spent joyful days and moments .She has gradually started learning Italian and our culture and sharing our daily life and experiences , traditions and cookery was really a pleasure!
"Hello! I'm Karina and I love to travel and meet people from around the world and learn new cultures and languages. I was born overseas and also lived in Canada before moving to England where I've lived for the past 27yrs. I had an exchange in Spain and learned Spanish and also travelled to Brazil where I learned Portuguese fluently. My dream is to also learn Italian by immersion and live there to learn the culture and meet the people.
I work full-time in the healthcare sector and work from home.
The city of Oxford is beautiful and is a wonderful place to visit with so much to see and do. We are only one hour from London on the train. We enjoy going to London to watch a show and visit the markets. I really enjoy music and dance and take line dancing and flamenco classes and also sing in a choir.
My daughter is at university and sometimes comes home for the weekend for family visits. My partner stays at the house on weekends with our very friendly dog (a medium lurcher).
We love the outdoors and walking with the dog on weekends. We also enjoy going to cafés, restaurants, museums and visiting beautiful English manors nearby like Blenheim Palace and Waddesdon Manor. We're members of the National Trust so visiting such places is one of our favourite pastimes.
I am looking to have an exchange in Europe and would welcome the person in my home in Oxford with me. I would look forward to showing them the beautiful city of Oxford, life and culture in the UK, and am also happy for them to join some of my activities such as dance classes (if they wish to join).
I previously worked for a cultural and linguistic exchange company that organised long exchanges for children abroad. Whilst working there, I gained the experience of how to help people learn new languages and would apply this knowledge with this exchange as well."
