What references should I include in my Credentials File?
A reference is a document stating that your family is fit and proper to host foreign people as part of a language study holiday. Your references form part of your Credentials File. Read more about your Credentials File.
They must be provided by people professionally active, well established in the community, and who have a good knowledge of you or your family. Referees can be:
- An employer
- A religious minister
- A family doctor
- A teacher or an administrator of the school attended by your children
- A lawyer
- A member of the police force
- Upstanding citizens who hold an office of responsibility (local or national government official, banker, head teacher, etc.)
Remember to ensure that your personal contact details cannot be seen on any documents that you upload.
