How does the booking process work for hosts and teachers?
Accepting bookings through Lingoo is easy. When a potential guest contacts you, simply review their profile and if you like what you see, you can begin discussing the details of the homestay and investing time in getting to know each other. If both parties are happy, the guest begins the booking process.
You and the guest will then complete a Paid Stay Language Contract online. This secures the reservation, provides security for both parties, and communicates the price for all services you will provide. You will also have the opportunity to discount some of your prices during the process.
The guest pays a deposit of 15% of the cost of the stay when both parties have signed the contract - this percentage is calculated on accommodation, and language lessons included automatically for Teachers’ stays. This reservation fee is retained by Lingoo and secures the booking. The remaining balance of the total payment is paid by the guest directly to you at the start of the homestay. We provide a printable version of the completed contract to both parties, which also lists important information and commitments.
At the end of the stay, your guest is asked to leave an online evaluation of the homestay. This is an important part of maintaining and improving the quality of services to the Lingoo community .
